I was wondering if this is okay to use on a darker skin tone. My tone is a tad lighter than Tiger Woods. I have a tattoo that is an amateur one with only the use of black ink. It's fairly big, About an inch high and seven-eight inches wide. I'm sure that doesn't matter in removal, except maybe longer treatments. But I just wanted to give some information on it. I just need the information on the skin tones.

Thank You,
Kirk

Hi Kirk,

You're in luck with darker pigments - they are typically the easiest to remove - with numerous removal methods.

However, per Wikipedia: complications of laser tattoo removal include the potential of discoloration such as hypopigmentation (whiter or lighter spots, more common in darker skin) and hyperpigmentation (which causes darker spots) as well as textural changes to the skin surface.

If your ever at the doctor's office, they could explain more, likely without charging just to ask this sort of question.

Good luck bud.
